Our recent release of our Lasso CRM App for Zapier has received a lot of attention from our clients. It offers a great way for users to automatically capture new leads from popular communication apps used in the home building industry. With the latest enhancements to the Lasso CRM App for Zapier you can now connect to even more systems using Zapier!

Append or Update Info for Existing Registrants

In addition to automatically capturing new leads, the Lasso CRM App for Zapier lets you automatically append or update information to an existing registrant’s profile.

The Lasso CRM App for Zapier will first check if the lead already exists in Lasso. If the contact information doesn’t match an existing registrant, a lead will be created. Otherwise, Q&A, notes, or history items will be updated or appended to the existing registrant’s profile.

This new functionality lets you connect Lasso to apps such as:

Which Lasso API do I need to Connect to Zapier?

We first launched our General API last year and it’s been a big hit with our clients. They enjoy the seamless integration that the API provides–there is no need to manually enter data into two systems so there are fewer errors and it’s easier to keep data in sync.

Knowing that not every client had the IT resources to use the General API to connect Lasso to their other systems, we introduced the Lasso CRM App for Zapier back in March of this year. This meant that you could now start connecting Lasso to a host of business applications in a much simpler way. With this release, we made available the Lasso API. This version of the API is already included in your subscription at no additional cost and is the easiest way to insert new leads into Lasso–directly from your website or through a Zapier connection.

However, if you’re looking to update or append information to an existing registrant in Lasso, the Lasso Pro API (formally known as the General API) gives you the functionality to do this. Whether directly or indirectly connecting to another business system via Zapier, as always, the Lasso Pro API will require an upgrade to your Lasso CRM subscription.

What’s Zapier?

Zapier acts as a middle man between Lasso CRM and your other business systems–adding data automatically. Lasso’s new Zapier App automatically adds new registrants to Lasso or updates information for existing ones. Connect to apps such as Facebook Lead Ads, Unbounce, LiveChat or CallRail. There are over 1000 apps in the Zapier ecosystem.

Depending on if you will be capturing a new lead or updating/appending information to an existing Lasso registrant from the Zapier App, will determine whether you need the Lasso API or the Lasso Pro API. Contact your Client Director for more information.
